The Gordon Institute Transforming Technical Professionals into Technical Leaders
Tufts UniversityEngineering Management

MSEM PROGRAM

At TGI, you will learn what you really need to know to be a technical leader.

The Gordon Institute’s Master of Science program in Engineering Management is specifically designed for practicing engineers who want to become technical leaders. In our program, you will maintain your technical focus and leverage your technical background to advance your management career. You will earn a degree that is more valuable to you than a general business degree – one that will distinguish you from the increasingly crowded field of MBA’s.

Integrated, multidisciplinary curriculum
The Gordon Institute recognizes that an integrated, multidisciplinary education is essential to produce technically grounded leaders who have both the knowledge and the mindset to make bold decisions, motivate teams, manage new technologies, and develop products that meet the needs of a rapidly changing, global marketplace.

The study of humanities
The Gordon Institute also integrates the study of humanities to teach aspects of leadership, morals and ethics, the use of technology, and decision-making. This humanistic focus creates well-rounded, people-oriented leaders who can see the “big-picture.” They can effectively communicate their ideas to both technical and non-technical people. They can truly become standouts in their organizations – even in their industries.
